Former Husker Jack McVeigh concluded the NBA Summer League on Sunday. The team fell to the Celtics, with McVeigh scoring eight points in the loss.

Both squads played with makeshift rosters in their final Summer League contest, and the Celtics definitely looked like the more invested team throughout all four quarters. Boston already owned a 27-20 lead after one, which was also the only quarter where Atlanta was ahead, albeit by a mere two points.

Now that summer league is concluding and the NBA officially begins its dark period, the stars from Las Vegas must be acknowledged because some unexpected players made big splashes.
