ZURICH, July 22 (Reuters) - World champions Spain will aim to secure a first-ever win against Germany in their Euro 2025 semi-final on Wednesday, though the Spaniards insist reaching their first European Championship final matters more than settling old scores.

Germany's gritty quarter-final triumph against France has changed fans' minds about their hopes of winning Euro 2025.

This will be the second time for Spain to host the Cup after Valderrama in 1997, and just the fourth time it will be played in continental Europe.

Ryder Cup Europe confirmed on Tuesday that the biennial event will return to Spain in 2031 and be played at the Camiral Golf and Wellness Resort in Caldes de Malavella.
