Texas baseball will be out to score a victory over an old Big 12 foe Saturday when it takes on Texas Tech in the Longhorns' second game at the Las Vegas Classic. Texas (7-1) collected its seventh consecutive win Friday night when it hung on to beat Washington 10-9 despite a poor display from its bullpen.

Texas baseball has the opportunity to claim its 12th consecutive victory and score its second home series victory of the season when it hosts Santa Clara on Saturday for the middle game of a three-game set.

Santa Clara (7-4) has won four of its last five contests, most recently taking three out of four games in a road series at Cal. The Broncos and Longhorns have met only once before
