Trailing 7-2, the Giants (52-48) climbed within a run with a four-run sixth inning but ultimately fell 8-6 in losing their fifth straight game.
The Giants were hoping to come out of the All-Star break refreshed and ready to open the second half on a strong note. Instead, they ended up departing Canada mired in their longest skid of the season.
The Braves lost two of three to the Yankees coming out of the All-Star Break. yesterday they lost 4-2. Aaron Judge smacked his 36th home run of the season in the win for New York. Grant Holmes started for the Braves and lost his ninth game of the season. Atlanta remains in fourth place in the National League East.
