Winter squash vines are now growing up, around, and over the structure, with pumpkins, Delicata, and butternut squash hanging from the sides, and in the middle (that picture didn’t turn out well).
I have also seen a fabulously beautiful and tasty squash named Red Kuri grown successfully on a picket fence, though the fruit, another four-pounder, was supported carefully with a length of string.
