A company called Kera Protein Ltd is transforming discarded chicken feathers into gourmet-style dishes with a London-based Thai supper club, showcased in a six-course tasting menu.

“Chicken feather contains protein and if we are able to serve this protein to others in the world, the demand from everyone… will help reduce waste,” Sorawut told Reuters.

Research into recycled chicken feathers and their applications has been present in the U.S. for decades, and has resulted in all kinds of products, from polyester to circuit boards and even diapers.
