The rain will not be enough to improve drought conditions, for now, but there are some signs pointing to the start of rainy season as we head into the first few weeks of May.

With the wet season close, and increased chances of rain during the weekend, water managers are mostly unconcerned about water supplies being affected.

“It’s an extremely dry period. The good news is that the most intense period has been close to the start of the rainy season,” said Lake Worth Drainage District Executive Director Tommy Strowd.
