A Hagerstown woman said the mallard duck she raised from an egg was confiscated earlier this week by the Humane Society of Washington County, and she is fighting to get "Quackers" back.

Duck season in Missouri’s Middle Zone runs Nov. 7-Jan. 5 and the state’s South Zone is Nov. 26-Jan. 24. Species status: The mallard is one of the most abundant duck species in North America.
