Hotard kicked off the earnings call with a plea for patience as he only recently replaced long-time CEO Pekka Lundmark.

Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark revealed at MWC Barcelona 2025 (MWC25) that the development of 5G standalone (5G SA) networks is currently accelerating, despite being slower than expected.

Justin Hotard will replaced Pekka Lundmark as CEO of Finnish telecoms company Nokia on April 1. Hotard is currently the EVP and general manager of Data Center & AI Group at Intel.

According to the official press release, Nokia has announced a leadership change, with CEO Pekka Lundmark stepping down on March 31, 2025.
