EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Vidler’s 5 & 10 fans might have had a scare this morning after the iconic East Aurora store posted about big changes. The store is getting in on the April Fools Day fun.

The store, which has been around since 1930, has received Trip Advisor’s 2020 Travelers Choice Award.

Ed Vidler, the president of the iconic Vidler’s 5 & 10 store in East Aurora, died Saturday morning, according to a post on the store’s Facebook page. He was 90.

Vidler's five-and-dime store on Main Street has been named Family Owned Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
