All 67 victims have been recovered from the Potomac River following a deadly mid-air collision between an American Airlines plane and a military helicopter last week.

An American Airlines regional jet went down in the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport after colliding with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter, Wednesday night, prompting a multi-agency search-and-rescue operation, according to officials.

Crews were on scene on the Potomac River on Monday to retrieve the submerged wreckage of an airliner and an Army helicopter that collided midair last week in the deadliest US air disaster since 2001.

The crash, involving an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk Helicopter, resulted in the deaths of 67 people.

Crews began removing wreckage from the Potomac River on Monday, five days after 67 people were killed in a midair collision over Washington, D.C., between a passenger jet and an Army helicopter. The crash was the deadliest U.
