The acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement is accusing the Biden administration of improperly inflating migrant arrest numbers and "misleading the American people."

Homeland Security officials on Wednesday accused the Biden administration of “cooking the books” to falsely pump up immigration arrest numbers by counting illegal immigrants who were caught and released rather than detained and deported.

Multiple federal law enforcement agencies worked together to arrest illegal immigrants present on Nantucket, including one who has previously been charged with kidnapping.
