The Philadelphia region's next weather maker arrives Wednesday evening with light snow and could affect roads Thursday morning.

A winter storm is on the way, bringing snow, sleet and freezing rain to the Delaware Valley over the course of just a few hours on Thursday.

“It’s certainly possible,” agreed Zack Cooper, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly, which has issued a winter weather advisory from 12:01 to 10 a.m. Thursday for the entire region for up to an inch of snow and ice and 0.1 inches of freezing rain.
