Deputies with the Zapata County Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft in progress at the Dollar General north of Zapata.

During a search of the area, deputies found a white tissue paper with five small bags containing a white, rocky substance. The substance is believed to be methamphetamine, weighing about 5.6 grams.
