Jul 3, 2014 · When did Berger start making Hybrid hunting bullets? Only the OTM and the Elite Hunter bullets in .338 are hybrids. The Classic Hunter bullets for SAAMI chambers are not really labelled hybrids. I believe all the other Hybrid bullets are target bullets. Scott

Aug 18, 2011 · Testing the Berger Hybrid bullets – 185 gr and 200 gr Equipment: All shots fired were chronographed with a CED M2 chronograph. One rifle was used for the entire testing program. It is a Savage long action with a 26†1 in 11 twist Benchmark 3-groove barrel. The barrel had 1300 rounds fired at the beginning of testing.

May 14, 2012 · Then came the Hybrid.....Haven't looked back. I had to jump the VLD's .030 but with great results. The sweetspot in my gun for the Hybrid is .020 with .5 gr increase in powder.

Then working back into the cartridge case in .005 increments with the Berger Hybrid Target or EOL/ELITE HUNTER bullets IF you are doing any bullet seating depth testing generally works the best. Of course there are exceptions due to differences between rifles.

Jul 20, 2010 · Can you really control your bullet seating in .0005" steps, if so please tell me how to do that. I'm lucky to have a seating range of 1 to 2 thousands. I have much better results with the new 180 jumping them 0.015 to 0.020". Jerry

Oct 16, 2014 · As far as load, 29.5 was the original starting point however the node for 105s appears to be 30.1 of IMR 4895. I am willing to believe for starters that Berger 105s will shoot similarly no matter whether they are Hybrid Targets, VLD Targets, or BT match. Similarly does not equal the same. .
