About Jack H. Brown. Mr. Brown, former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Stater Bros. Markets, was regarded as one of California's leading businessmen. The native of San Bernardino started his career as a box boy at Berk's Market Spot in San Bernardino at the age of 13, following the death of his father.

Named for Jack H. Brown, CEO of Stater Bros. Markets who built a small family owned grocery store operation to a Fortune 500 company that is the largest privately-owned supermarket chain in California.

The Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration (JHBC) offers degrees in administration and information systems and technology to prepare students for careers in business, government, and related fields.

The program is housed in the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration (JHBC) and while our program is one of the top-rates, student fees are among the lowest in the nation, making us a high-value, high-return educational investment.

A total of six units of Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration 5753 or 5755 courses may be applied toward graduation. Graded credit/no credit. Formerly offered as ADMN 575.

The Jack H. Brown College internship program is designed to connect students with organizations, creating a bridge between the classroom and a working environment. Through internships, students are able to build their résumé, network, and even earn elective credit.

Cal State San Bernardino held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in early October for the newly named The Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, in honor of philanthropist, businessman and hometown hero — the late Jack H. Brown.
