The National Arena (Romanian: Arena Națională) is a retractable roof football stadium in Bucharest, Romania. It opened in 2011 on the site of the original National Stadium, which was demolished between 2007 and 2008.

Rebuilt around 2011 to replace Romania’s previous, crumbling, national stadium, the Arena National is a wonderful modern venue in the east of the capital city of Bucharest. Looking very much like a modern day colosseum, it’s hard to find fault with the actual structure itself. Good views, decent seats, even the toilets are pretty good!
