Jun 2, 2008 · The blurry symbol near Okami’s mouth was a watermark — an artifact intentionally added to an image to denote the source of the picture and often to prevent others from taking undue credit. In fact, it was the logo for IGN — a very large video game website and portal.

Oct 24, 2019 · It's not rare or anything remotely close. The game was printed like that as normal. It was a mistake that never got fixed through retail. Every (North American) copy has that watermark however Capcom allowed consumers to get their covers replaced. Apparently, you can also find their official replacement covers online as PDFs.

Feb 8, 2025 · Yea... apparantly the boxart for Okami wii has a watermark from IGN on it, like how imagine babies had iStock watermark. The blunder is also on the printed media, which i find hilarious.

Apr 21, 2008 · This IGN watermark matter is an interesting peculiarity, and it's funny and possibly flattering to the IGN artists, and good PR for IGN, but that's it. There's no injustice and no legal case to be prosecuted.
