Sherry Schrull (née Russell; February 8, 1958 – June 15, 2007) [3][1][7] was an American professional wrestler and manager, better known by her ring names, Sherri Martel and Sensational Sherri. Martel began her professional wrestling career in the Mid South after training in Columbia, South Carolina.

On June 15, 2007, Sherri Martel passed away at her mother’s home in McCalla, Alabama, at the age of 49. Nearly three months later, it was reported that numerous drugs were found in her system, including a very large amount of oxycodone.

She started as a manager in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) and joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
