Really, the only things they don't have in common are: their dominant foot, their perceived potential, and the quality of club they play for. Their height and weight are almost the same. They serve very similar functions on the pitch. Even their performance metrics are similar.

Sargent missed half the year and is by far as teams best player look at the results with and without him. Balogun is on the second best team in his league and is in like the 98 percentile of touches, I think I saw that in a post on this sub recently, in the box and his counting stats are not really reflecting that.

Granted, not all of those games were starts, but point is, he’s very inconsistent. Compare that with Pepi and Sargent from this season. Pepi literally started one match all season. Despite that, he averaged a goal every 88 minutes. Sargent meanwhile scored in 15 of his 26 matches, or 58% of his matches (rounded up from 57.69) had him scoring.

Because Pukki was their first-choice striker, Sargent spent a bunch of the season playing out of position. Despite that, Sargent was Norwich's top goalscorer last year, with 13 goals. Pukki has left, and it looks like Sargent will be the regular starting striker for Norwich next year. Hopefully that means a breakout year for him.

For context, Josh averaged a goal every 116 minutes. Now onto how Leeds expect their strikers to play. Farke likes for his strikers to come into midfield, and be an outlet in possession, especially when holding up play.

Jan 21, 2022 · In addition to the 2 goals, Josh won 12 duels (lost 6), was 3/3 on dribble attempts, 3/5 on tackle attempts, won 4 aerials (lost 1), four recoveries, one interception, and blocked one shot. Easy MOTM performance and was all over the place in a huge match for Norwich.

Aug 14, 2023 · I think at 23 if Josh has a very strong campaign in the championship he will garner some interest from PL teams, he has the tools , has gotten quite strong it appears and once/if the goals flow teams will take notice.
