It was my first time taking a look at ocean water. I had the privilege of using a plankton net provided by the San Francisco Microscopy Society to capture some organisms to view under the microscope. The sheer diversity of microorganisms astounded me, and the strange biology of these organisms made me feel like I was observing an alien world. They have the strangest structures, yet seem so mysterious and beautiful. I literally watched these samples for hours under the microscope. #microscope #mi
